Live Rock Question

Live rock usually has coraline algea and all sorts of live stuff on it, sponges, clams/oysters, corals (although often times these things are dead when we get the rock) that comes from being left in the ocean. Base rock is the same kind of rock, but has none of the stuff that make live rock 'live'. It's usually white with nothing growing on it. It's good for making foundations, and putting more decorative pieces of LR on top of it.

uncured means its right from the ocean to your door.
cured means that it if set into curing tanks for a piriod of time before you get it to allow time for anything that is going to die, to die and come off. it helps keep spikes in your water quality down. IMO unless your picking it up from a local store right from the curing tanks that precured and uncured does not mean anything. during shipping things WILL die and you end up having to cure it anyhow. or at least you should.
