live rock question

I hope this is the place to post this if not i do appologize in advance.
I recently bought some live rock(16lbs) off a dealer on []i*Link Removed*[/i]. They said it is fully cured but i am soaking it in a 5 gallon pucket filled with heated salt water. My question is that the live rock has small holes all over the rock and there are what seems to be like worms in it and they start to come out and i belive that i need to get them all out but i am unsure. So do i get the to come out and pull them out or leave them. also if i need them to be out what is the best way to get them out of the rock.
Thanks

The worms are most likely bristle worms, which are a beneficial part of the cleanup crew. No need to remove them.

I agree. The vast majority of bristle worms remain small and just feed on leftover foods. Think of them as a free clean-up crew. There are a few that will get large and can be predatory, but those are unusual. The ones in my tank usually do not exceed 4 inches and and the width of angel hair pasta. There are TONS of them and they come out after the lights are out. If something dies in your tank they will devour it in no time flat, which is beneficial for your tank.
