yup. mix it with some "live" rock and it will reseed and look good again. it will take a few months tho.

As for rock, I don’t even think it needs to be reseeded. I think the eggs lay dormant and hatch when it is exposed again to saltwater.

How long can it be stored? How do you store it? I had tons in my tank and now that I'm redoing it I would like to take some out. I don't want to kill it, but I'm not sure I want to use it all. I still want to have the suggested pounds per gallon, but I have a lot extra.

If you are saying "in storage" as being dry for six months For all intent they now would be no more than base rock. They would just having a little more dead debris in them that would need to be soaked out or cleaned away.
After six months dry most any beneficiary bacterias and such would have died.......Also any preexisting coralline would also have bleached .
But to restore life to the rocks would only take reintroduction to the proper saltwater environment to reseed them. A few months after reintroduction the majority of beneficial organisms would have returned.
