I new and i just started out! Got some free live rock from my friend and it kinda smells a little bit like rotten eggs. I think the rock is dead! Is there a way to bring it back or can i just clean it off and put it in the tank?? I have about 50 lbs of it and is that enough if i have a 75 gallon tank. THANKS! :help:

if the rock smell like rotten eggs it will need to be cured before adding it to your tank (unless your tank is new and you haven't cycled it yet and you don't have any fish and/or inverts) the smell is coming from the die off on the rock.
