You know I look at everyones tank pics and their LR has nice color and stuff. Even people who have tanks up for about 2 months have nice color. My tank has been up for about 3-4 months and i only see a few spots of color. My LR still seems green to me. I mean its not the color it was when i bought it and its not rusty brown when i had a diatom outbreak. I can try and snap some pics but my camera sucks. Maybe you can see in these pics....http://photos.yahoo.com/drew101576

Hey Drew2005
Nice pics! I just bought the same tank as you. Same stand only I opted for the stainless steel & black. I will be starting my setup next week. Your rock work looks incredible:) Very nice setup. How many lbs of rock did you use? I was thinking of starting with 50. Also what type of lighting did you get...I am still working on trying to figure that out. For sure will be ditching the lighting it came with.

Thanks! :) I wanted the stainless one but it just didnt match anything else in the room. Ive got 70lbs of tonga rock in there. I think about 50lbs of live sand. My lighting is a CurrentUSA Dual Satellite 36". If you plan on a reef tank then definitely ditch the lighting it comes with. If your doing FOWLR then that lighting might be good enough. IMO buy all the LR you can at once and put it all in. I cured my rock and cycled my tank. It took 6 weeks. Good luck with your setup.
