Live Rock Stowaway
I recently bought a peice of live rock from my LFS. Located on the rock in various areas are these tube-like white things. They are about a quarter inch tall and are white and cylindrical. Kind of like a closed up zooanthid but a lot thinner in circumferance. The tip of one of them is a light brown. At the top of the little tube is what looks like a little mouth. I can't tell if it is a zooanthid or a sponge. It is not slimy and it is not hard or stony.
Any thoughts or ideas? Anyone seen anything like it?
Someone that saw it said it might be a sponge
