Live Rock turning neon yellow

Okay so my LR is all purple but the small areas that aren't have turned neon yellowish. It's been like this for a week or two but from what I have read on here it's a form of coralline algae. It's also spreading to a part of the plastic overflow inside the tank. When I bought the tank the previous owner had purple coralline algae all over this area which obviously died turning white and now turning the yellowish color. I'm not panicking as I'm sure it's not a bad problem. Any input is appreciated.

Hi,

If it's hard like coralline when you try and scrap it off with your fingernail, then it's just a cool color of it...if it is soft and can be scraped off with your nail, then it' regular algae developing on the old coralline that died off. Most yellow coralline will turn to green, the pink to purple, and the orange to red...I had a very small patch of the yellow once, it turned green, but it never spread.
