are they reddish or orangeish with fuzzy spines on them?
If so, they're bristle worms. they won't hurt anything while they're small but when they get big (larger than an inch) they can hurt your fish or inverts. If you touch them they'll sting the f**k out of you!!! (i used that word for emphasis)
best idea is to get rid of them, pick em out with LONG tweasers if you can. Otherwise, maybe get a piece of panty-hose and tie up some fish food inside it and sink it near the rock. they will tangle in it.
