live rock

hey everyone new to this board but have been reading for a this board for a while question i recieved a shipment of rock 2 days ago when it arrived it was very dry i know rock usuly is shiped i damp paper but this shipment was about like when you pull your jeans out your dryer a little damp but where them any way my concern is this rock is dead has no corline alge and no fan worms no nothing very clean though some pieces went streight in my tank with no clouding but like nothing on rock not even a tube worm any comments on this.

id call and complain.... or keep it and use it as base rock.... it should come back alive soon.... lots of critters hide inside the rock and will appear in time....
rock thats supposedly dead can be seeded by new LR
did it smell bad becareful of it causing a spike in your nitrates

no spike yet but checking on it i did complain they just said they would give my money back but i would have to ship it back at my own expence post marked by feb 13 its like 90 bucks 2nd day fedx and 42 bucks post office 4 days have you ever had live rock shipped to you.

wow that sucks thats not a reputable company that does business that way.... ive never had LR shipped to me i have lots of selection out here and i buy it already cured so i know i wont have any probs putttin it directly in my tank...
well u might as well keep it then and add some more better LR that looks good it will take a lil time but stuff will start growin like crazy given the right conditions i have so much stuff growin on my rocks from coraline to tube worms to just wierd stuff i dont eveen know what it is./....
id recommend getting it from somewhere else next time
