Live Rock

Hi guys, It has been reccommended to me to use Fiji Live rock for my reef tank. My tank is 75 gallons and Ive been told to get about 100 pounds or so, and use base rock for the rest? Also since I am using live Rock, it was reccommended that I use a layer on Live rock on the bottom, then Base rock in between. It was reccommended I use live rock on the bottom, so that it would work with the live sand. My questions are, is this the correct type of live rock to use? And is the combination of live rock and Base rock ok, since fiji rock is pretty pourus?

It all depends on what you are doing with your tank..... reef, combo, or what.... kinds of filters, ect.... no real right way to do it....

Any live rock is good as long as you get it from a decent source and there is some life still left on it.
