live rock

Question - I order some live rock via air cargo. Never was notified that is was coming or that it had arrived until yesterday. Anyway it sat in the cargo area at the airport for 4 days. Brought it home it was still moist and did not smell bad. Is this rock still good after sitting for almost a week?

I would put it in a seperate container of salt water with a powerhead for a few days and watch for an ammo spike.If there is no ammo after a week,you should be fine...But if this rock is going into a new tank(not yet cycled) then just toss it in.

Thanks, it looked okay but I really did not know how long the bacteria would stay alive on the rock.
