Live sand and Live rock questions...

I have a 10 gallon tank, I just bought it from a friend who had it for 6 years, the substrate in in right now is crushed rock, I want to change it out for some live sand, how much do I need to create a good sand bed? What kind should I get?
I was also wondering, I have a pretty bad aiptasia problem (im combining lemon juice injections and also adding some peppermint shrimp for that) and am replacing the substrate for that reason also (I like sand better anyways), I plan on adding all new live rock too, How much can I add, and what size rocks do you all recomend?
Thanks for the tips,
R.

You might want to ask this is the Nano forum. From my understanding 10 gallon tanks are a whole different situation from larger tanks. Especially if you are going to change the substrate.

I would most definately post this in the " nano " forum. After all it is a nano tank, anything under like 30gal is considered a nano. The thing about small tanks " nanos" is that everything happens really fast, salt levels go up and down easier cause it is a small tank,........ect. Anyway the peps should eat it...have a good one
P.S. you should have about 1 1/2 -2 lbs of live rock in your tank...........
