Live sand DSB?

I have yet another question. When adding the live sand for a DSB does all of the sand need to be live sand or can you mix it up with ordinary aquarium sand to get the 4-6 inches required?

Just add enough LS to cover the top inch or so of the dry sand and you'll be fine.

After you lightly cover the base sand, The live sand will begin to seed it and in a couple of months you will have all live sand. Good luck
