**2 questions**
From this web site there are a couple types of sand.
1. If anyone would be kind and go to the live sand page and look at the different sands there to see which one will be the best?
2. Also how many inches should be on the bottom tank?

Without going to look I believe this site offers Natures Ocean LS and Florida LS. Natures Ocean is a packaged product and the other is harvested from off shore. I've never used anything but the Natures Ocean myself. So I can't comment on the other. I prefer to use a combination of sands to develope a DSB(deep sand bed). I like to use about 80% caribsea products( oolitic and sea flor grade sands) the remaining 20% I like to use the Natures Ocean LS. The depth is your choice...I prefer a DSB of 5"-^' depth. To figure how much you need use this formula...
(measurements are in inches)
length x width x desired depth of sand bed x .0579 = lbs of sand needed
