live sand or cc?

i am needing some advice on whether to use live sand or CC in my 30g FO,LR tank. also, what is the best invert or fish to aid in the cleaning of the live sand? thanks for any advice.

i plan to only use the standard depth of live sand for my base. my LFS says that this would be 2 1/2" to 3". is this correct and what clean up method should be used? is there a animal that is better than others for this job?

go 4-6 inches, and a sand burrowing cuke does a pretty good job and won't eat the good critters that live in the sand.

i think fender was refering to a sea cucumber, otherwise known as a nudiobranch.
