Live sand substrate thickness

I am looking at setting up about a 90 gallon hex.. since the tank is much deeper I know I need alot more intensity on the lighting aspect how about on the depth of the sand is 4 inches enough???? I think ALL GLASS only makes a 60 hex but I was told Oceanic makes a larger one...Due to limited space this is the best I could come up with...I wanted the volume of water not neccessarily the space..
IE a more stable environment

if it looks pleasing to you and is 4 inches should work. have brisk water circulation. lighting depends on what else you are going to keep in the tank. since there are no corners hex tanks allow good circulation and no dead spots.

4" for a DSB is minimum; however, with a hex, I would aim for more--like 6"...Gas exchange and adequate biological filtration with deep aquariums that lack surface area is a connsideration, the deeper sand bed is best if you are setting up a DSB and, the deeper the sand, the closer the rest of your aquaria is to the light source.
