Live sand sugestions.

Anybody know if arag-alive sand is any good. I'm interested in
swithing my substrate to sand and was wondering what was a
good choice... thnx..

LS is usaully the choice pick of substrates, Agro LS is one of my favorites. What type of tank are you setting up?

Getting back into the hobby after some years off. 55gal fish only tank.
Whats the deal with all this L/R. If i add that do i need to upgrade my
lighting.

Live rock will be fine under any light but to get good purple coralline growth you will want strong lights. live sand is great for cycling a tank but after that i dont like it, causes problems. after about 2 months i removed all the sand and went with a bare bottom with lots of LR.
