live sand?

Is it advisable to mix crushed coral with live sand? I have already put crushed coral asa substrate in my tank then someone advised me i should get live sand to help with the cylcing process? is it possible to mxit he sand with the coral? or should i just get rid of the crushed coral?

Me along with most people to would advise you to get rid of the cc and just use ls. When you eventuall have to chuck the cc the cc and ls would have mixed so you would have to chuck both. Having crushed coral under a sand bed also creates an area for pockets of toxic gasses to form.
