i'm going with a dsb in my new 80 and have put in 55lbs so far of aragonite, but how much ls? I was thinking about 20 lbs and about 120 lbs of lr.

Here's the formula for figuring out how much sand you need:
length x width x desired depth x .0579
Example: 48" x 18" x 4" x .0579 = 200.1 pounds of live sand.

Joe is right ...personally I'd use approximately 20% of your total live the rest could be normal sand....I'd use aragonite and natures ocean ls 80%/20%
