Live Sand?

Does live sand have to be cured? If I want to change out crushed coral to LS do I have to wait and cure it for awhile before I add my rock and fish back in?

I would follow this procedure Live sand should be rinsed in saltwater to remove any organic matter that may foul the water in the aquarium. Then place in you tank if your doing a cc to sand I am assuming you have no fish or live rock in the tank. After the sand I would go with the rock and a single fish and test to make sure your bio filtration is not severely repressed. And continue to add you fish accordingly
1.Remove the bag(s) of sand from shipping box and dump sand into a new 5-gallon bucket, filling the bucket 1/2 full with live sand.
2.Add saltwater from the aquarium until the bucket is 2/3 full of water and sand.
3.Slowly stir the sand by hand until the water within the bucket becomes cloudy with debris.
4.Discard the dirty water in the bucket and place the sand back into the shipping bag.
5.Lower the shipping bag to the bottom of the aquarium. Disperse the sand slowly and evenly across the bottom of the aquarium.
6.Repeat the above steps until all of the sand has been placed into the aquarium.

No i currently have 3 damsels and a clownfish, 1 cleaner shrimp and 8 hermits in the tank. I am not for sure that I want to swap to sand. I was just thinking about it.

i had live sand in my tank for 8months and it was a fight with cyno forming on the sand it didn't breath well i found and now i have mixed he crushed coral with sand i have much better turn out lower phos, nitartes.
the water seems to flow better in the crushed coral (seems cleaners on the bottom) and i can notice more pods, bristle worms ,etc. to set up and find a home
and its about 5inches deep the whole way around the 135g

I am just going to keep my crushed coral. Another thing I was thinking about doing which is the main reason I wanted to know if I had to cure it was just adding some sand to the crushed coral. Kind of funneling it down into the bottom mixing with the CC. But if I can't add it to the tank directly I will not do it. I don't want to disrupt what I already have going on.
