Dumb question: can things grow out of the live sand? Also, how long does it take for the water to clear after I've added my Carib Sea Hawaiian Black sand?
LOL...Sand or rock is called "LIVE" because things live in it. Run some carbon in the filter to help clear the water, but it usually takes a few days for it all to settle down.
