live sand

My tank has been running for 6 weeks and everthing is going great.
Received my first shipment from SWF and was suprised with the quality.
Everything in very good health.
My question is sand much better than crushed coral.
My substrate is not living and am wondering in the furture if this is worth the trouble of changing out.

I would change as soon as you can. Sand has many benefits over crushed coral including biologcal filtration and the lack of a need to be cleaned with a siphon. Also, crushed coral can keep nitrates in your tank high.

i took everyone's advice and switched from crushed coral to sand and so glad i did!! do it! you won't regret it!!
