I am thinking about converting my cc 55 gal tank to a live sand tank, how many pound of live sand would I need for the 55 gal tank, and if anyone has tips on the easyest way to do this it would help.

Yeah, I believe that's what they mean. It really depends on how deep you want your sandbed to be. I used 1.2 lbs per gallon to get a 2 inch sandbed on a small foot tank.
