Long green hair algae

there are two spots on my rocks where the long green algea is growing. It looks like hair and moves with the current just like hair would. Is that what this is? hair algea? how do i get rid of it? i think its getting longer!

check phosphate levels. Is it a new tank? Do you have snails?

you can just pull it off and scrub the area with a toothbrush and that should do the trick
