Long plastic tweezers to help feed my lionfish?

I am tired of sticking my hand in my tank to feed my Fu Man Chu Lionfish. Does anyone know where I could long plastic tweezers? The shrimps are too small to put on a stick, besides I don't have much control. (Shrimps fall off ect) I when to my local fish store and they don’t have anything. It's a pain getting my whole arm wet. And scary knowing I am feeding something that could hurt me. My lionfish is too lazy to move from his cave.

The lion wont hurt you unless you are careless. Just always keep your eyes on it while you are feeding. They only use their spines for protection & if you dont pay attention to what you are doing you might by accident run into him. You may be trying to feed to much if your lion "to lazy to move from his cave". When they are hungry they will find you. Try soaking the food with garlic, thats the way i got my lion to start eating, after being fed only live food. Best wishes!

It is important that he comes up for food. I have two, a fuzzy and a Zebra. The Zebra comes right to my hand, the fuzzy does too, but backs off more. He will just use his lips. The Zebra flares his fins ready to eat. I have not been stung by either. Get him used to coming out of his cave to eat. Have you looked around in pharmacies? They should have long plastic tweezers. You can also ask your vet where they may be found.

How do I train my lionfish to come out of his cave? It's kinda hard to get his attention.
You will have to do it slowly. Get him eating in the cave first, then slowly release the food out of the cave. Eventually he will come out to eat.

they make grabby things that also come with blades to cut grass (never used that part) but you could check the LARGE chain petstores and their websites. they are like 24in long so they work good even for a deep tank

If I ever had any doubt that you're a liar it was confirmed by this post.

If you're talking about feeding mysiss to a small lion; try squirting some in his spot with a turkey baster. You can also use a length of rigid airline tubing attached to some flexible tubing. Its easy to suck up a bit of food without getting any in your face, then drop it in front of him. If you're using chunks of bigger shrimp, taper the rigid tubing and stab the food. This 2 piece tubing gizmo is great to have handy for removing chunks of uneaten food, etc. Just use a little suction and plug the dry end when you remove the food. Takes a little practice, but works great. But I'd sure keep moving his food a bit so he comes out of hiding; this isn't really normal for any lion, unless something is harassing him.

Why are you typing like that? I know it is not a spelling contest but do you talk like you are 3? It is very difficult to read Slack. I no lie and y you think, and things like that make it very difficult. Can you please type normally so that we can talk to you easier? Just type the same way you speak.

I honestly dont know why I keep coming back to this forum, it's always something, which is really sad. Good luck Razor Vampire! Just dont be scared of him, be careful as you should with any aggressive fish, they only want food, not your fingers. They really are great fish, they dont use their spines unless threatened, & once he figures out you are the one with the food, you shouldnt have a problem. It will just take time, isnt that what this hobby is all about?

Maybe lighten up a little; you need to know the personalities and the history involved....and I'm sure nobody enjoys all the diversion than Slack. A sense of humor goes a long way and the Mods will handle inappropriate comments.
