Long Tentacle Anemone Help

I have a LTA in my 37 gallon tank, all water levels seem to be fine, and there is a power head close to it so it has to be getting sufficient water flow. But for some reason, the anemone has NO tentacles. it has one small one that looks like a nub, if anything. The foot is healthy looking and it is stretched upwards towards the light, and open pretty wide, not shriveled or deteriorating at all, but for some reason, it just has no tentacles. I asked my LFS about it, and they said that it could be because i am not feeding it enough. But its hard to feed an anemone with no tentacles. I target feed it oyster eggs 1-2 times a week. I've had it for about a month or two so far, first month and a half it was perfectly normal and i havent changed anything in the tank except added a little more light wattage to the tank. some kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using 2x17watt bulbs, one is actinic, other is not. The lighting is rather low, but i thought i would give it a try, and at night time is when the anemone opens up and looks its best *no lights on*. Has to be one of the weirdest anemone's ive ever seen. *thanks for the posts back as well*

Well, i am currently looking at a metal halide light.... I was wondering if i was to order it and have it delivered asap would the anemone be able to come back to normal by then, or would it be too late? the light I am looking at is this.
30" metal halide light comes with:
1 x 250 watt Metal Halide 15k bulb
2 x 65 watt power compact bulbs
4 x lunar moon lights (1 watt each)

If you get the lights up and going within one week it might be ok depending on it's current health, otherwise i would take it back and have your lfs hold it till your lights are up and running 100%.

That lighting would be good, but we also need to know about your water parameters and how old your setup is.

Just tested the parameters once again after a water change.
PH - 8.3
Salinity - 1.022
Temperature - 79
Nitrates - >20
Nitrites - 0
Ammonia - 0
its a 37 gallon tank with a Marineland Penguin *200* filter *with biowheel*, also i have a power head that WAS facing towards the anemone but as suggested from above I have since changed the direction of the power head to be above the anemone in hopes of it growing outward towards it maybe? lol... also i have an aqua C remora with maxi-jet 1200.
I used to have the eclipse 3 hood for the 37 gallon tank but i have replaced that because i knew there was no easy way to install a protein skimmer and better lighting with that hood being in the way. so i removed the hood and put a glass canopy, with the lighting hood on top of it *as you know the lighting still sucks, but i just ordered the light that i mentioned above in hopes of it arriving soon.*.
Current tank inhabitants :
Oscellaris clown fish *baby*
Blue Hippo Tang *baby - not even an inch long yet(i am aware of tank sizing with these fish)*
Algae Blenny
Maroon Clownfish * who currently harasses the hell out of the tentacle-less anemone*
Sand sifting starfish
Chocolate Chip starfish
3x Peppermint shrimp *had an aptasia issue that is now gone*
Blue spotted Watchman Goby
Baby orange spotted Watchman Goby
few hermits and snails around
if anyone see's any obvious mistakes with these inhabitants please let me know.

I'm not too sure what you consider to be "new" but this tank has been up for...a year or so i guess, not counting the 2 or so months i left it cycling
