I Just Bought A Long Tentacle Anemone For My 26 Gallon Bowfront. My Lfs Said That They Do Fine Under Pcs, But I Have Been Reading That They Need A Strong Light Source. Currently I Have Him Under 130 Watts Of Pcs. Is This Enough Light? He Has Been In My Tank For 4 Days Now And Has Not Fond A Spot Yet. He Just Floats Around On The Bottom. I Have Feed Him Once And He Sucked The Shrimp Down Pretty Fast.he Is Open And Looks Healthy.

Personaly, I think you are borderline. If the tank is mature and your level of experience is good then you might be ok. If not on either of those, then it probably needs to go back. I lost mine under 260w of PC's on my 55 gallon in about 4 months.

I got a long tent anenome 3 months ago and only have basic lighting. People have told me the same thing (that the lighting is not good enough) but so far, so good. What did you decide to do?

If he is moving into a cave or to the back of the tank, he is days from death IMO. Thats what mine did under PC's.

i have two types of anemones under my PC's and both have grown and got darker and fuller in color. mine have never moved an inch since i put them in the current positions. i guess i picked good spots.

be careful w/anemones!
Mine was doing fine and had planted himself along a rock edge for weeks when all of the sudden he got a bug up his butt and decided to go for a swim.
well he decided he would try and replant himself on my modded mj1200.
Anemones from what i have read like hi-flow and mine actually crawled into the front of the shroud...then got diced into my 210...then came the hair algae...its been 5 weeks and it is now almost all gone. i do have MH
To this day I am amazed how he managed to crawl into that modded MJ as they are supposed to be ~2400 gph...

depends on tank depth on what you can keep with what.
anemones need stronger light but at the same time you have to look at lighting and depth of tank
if the tank is 6 inches deep and has 110 watts of PC there wil be more light at the bottom of the tank than if the tank was 12 inches deep.
There are alot of sucess stories but at the same time there alot more disasters from anemones under the wrong light.
I have kept a BTA under Normal lighting do I saw it was right NOPE but I didnt know back then what I know and have seen first hand today.
