long tentacle anemone

I recently purchased one and for some reason it doesn't seem to want to attach any where. I know they'll move around trying to find a good location.
Its been in my tank since last Tuesday and stays mostly balled up.
Any ideas?

92 gallon corner, 2 canister filters, HOB protein skimmer, 2 circulation pumps. Moderate water flow through out. About 50# live rock. All normal parameters at 0 ppm. Salinity at 1.024.
Lighting - reef capable LED and 2 tube fluorescent. Approximate age - 6 months with water, live rock and sand from my old 50 gallon. The 50 was set up for about a year.

I also have this leather coral that appears to be turning white?
Looks like it's just shedding.
What is "moderate water flow"? Can you give an approximate turnover rate?
I'm out of date on LED lighting so I'm don't know if you have sufficient lighting for an LT. Maybe someone else can chime in.
How's your Alkalinity?

I realized the air intake for my skimmer was plugged.
As far as an approximate water flow, between the 2 filters and circulation pumps, I'd guess roughly around 400 gallons an hour.
I just added an atinic to my fluorescent fixture.

That could be part of the problem. Reefs are high energy. I typically suggest 2 to 4 times more waterflow than what you have.

umm...actinic does nothing for the anemone. A LTA is nocturnal, and doesn't require any light. All power heads need to be covered. Those anemones even manage to get stuck in a filter cover that is put over a power head. If it happens, just turn off the power to that gizmo and let the anemone work itself out. Nitrate however really affect them.
You also should be checking calcium, alkalinity, phosphtes, and magnesium if you are going to keep corals. the standard ammonia, nitrite and nitrate test kits don't tell you enough about your water to make sure the corals are healthy. All the parameters listed above also have an affect on an anemone.

Flower, I think you are confusing an LTA (Macrodactyla doreensis) with some other type of Anemone.

Thanks Bang and Flower.
I'll add more circulation pumps and get the appropriate test kits. I've been wanting to anyway. I'll also do a water change in the morning.
