Can anyone tell me a little more info. on long. tent. plate corals? Don't really trust LFS. He said it was easy, no need to feed, med. light and med. flow. Is this right and can I keep it on the floor of a 12 gal Aquapod with stock lighting?
The one I Was looking at was about 2 1/2 " wide. How big do they get?

I am not sure about the care but I know I have seen some big ones like 7-8 inches across. Ask this in the Corals section and you will most likly get tons of responses!

People generally seem to not have very good luck with plate corals. I have had one for about 6 months (green long tentacle), and it seems to be doing alright, though. I feed it about once a week with a piece of krill and keep it on the sandbed. However, they do tend to walk around a little bit, so try to keep it penned in if possible with some rubble or small pieces of rock. They can be fairly clumsy in this regard. They can sting if the wrong coral comes in touch, but more than likely, if they walk into another coral, they will be hurt more than the other.

I read they could be aggresive. Where I only have a 12 gal. tank I'm thinking maybe I won't. The one I saw was a green one too. It was really pretty, but maybe I;ll look at something else.
And, yes, that is my joey (Quigley), who is now my 3 year old wallaby. I was just taking some Christmas photos of him yeaterday and hopefully will get my avitar switched.
Thanks for the info on the plate coral!!
