Looking for 12" bulbs

Ok, I am starting a nano tank, and have most of it running, still need to get lr and live stock, but I am looking for 12' light bulbs for the hood. I need the standard florescent as this is what is in the hood (it came with just a regular bulb 8 watt) but if someone here has an idea on what to change let me know. I plan on keeping some soft coral 1 or 2 shrimp and maybe some scarlet hermits.
Also I am looking for a good lfs near Freeport IL, or even Rockford, IL, If it is a really good store I may be wiling to make a longer trip.

IMO If you really want to keep any kind of softies go with PC lights.

power compact for coral.. anything less and you might as well just hold a flash light and hope something will grow..

Ok this is what I was thinking too, but here is my problem, I hope you can help with a solution. The hood of the tank has a formed light area, I can remove the light and the wires, but this will only give me about 4’x14” area to work with. I am open to ideas.

power compact.. lighting.. you can get one that is about 4 inches wide bye 12 inches long... most pet stores sell them..

This page does not sell them, so do you know of any online places that sell the lights you are talking about? I do not know of any lfs near me as of yet.

only place i know of is ----... i can get them from my pet guy but he is like an hour away and it would be about 70 bucks.. so look in ---- is your best bet.. if that does not work out.. get with me and i will have to get you some from my petstore guy.. but it would more from him then online. just go to ---- look under home and gargen then fish then lighting.. they are not always on there but most of the time.. let me know.. if you cant get them that way maybe i can help tiggerguy022@sbcglobal.net
