How does this sound?
Stage 1, Heating. 79deg with a 1deg Diff.
Stage 2, Cooling. 79deg with a 1deg Diff.
I am not sure what the idea temperature is.

You should set the heating and cooling temperatures farther apart or else it'll almost constantly turn on either your heater and chiller (or fan). Do something like:
Stage 1, Heating. 79deg with a 1deg Diff.
Stage 2, Cooling. 81deg with a 1deg Diff.
Otherwise it looks good to go.

That seems like a lot of play I thought key was to have the temp as stable as possible. With your numbers there is a 4deg to play. Temp will go down to 78 before it kicks on and will go up to 82 before the chiller kicks in. If those numbers are tight enough that is where I will put them.

You can put the intervals closer but it'll just rack up your electricity bill. The heater will turn on at 78 as you said but will turn back off at 79. Chiller will turn on at 82 and turn off at 81, so the temperature isn't going to be play ping pong throughout the day. 4 degrees from night to mid day is fine. HTH

I am wondering if the number on the screen is the current temp? Reason I ask is it is giving me a different temp than the corallife probe I have.

Yes that is the current temp, Mine reads about 1 deg high compared to my NIST traceable thermometer that I use for RTD calibration so they are not overly acurate and I haven't figured out whether you can calibrate it so that temp displays correctly yet.

I will give Tim, I think his name is Tim, a call tomorrow and find out I would say that you can.
Just a little side note. There service is Second to none. I called him a few nights ago at around 11pm and the guy answers. I couldn't believe it. I asked him if he was still was open thinking he might be on different time. He then told me that he was at home sitting on the couch watch TV. Goes on explain how his phones are tied together and so on. So I asked him my question and he actually took about 5 minutes to explain the unit to me. Couldn't believe it, I guess some people care about there business. Anyway I told him that I would tell everyone about his dedication so ...
