I've always fancied a crayfish or two, but from what i remember 125 gal is not big enough.
Last week I finally got tank no.12 (not much room in my flat, lol). Having seen a 7" undulated trigger in a gardencenter/LFS in a 18" holding tank for 2 years (aparently unsuccessfully housed)...was too much. I bit the bullit & made room for the 2 year mature tank another LFS was selling. It had a large moray eel in & after some research took the chance (introducing the eel first).
Happily they get on great, sleep together, eat together & chase each other sometimes. Still keeping an eye just incase but all goes well.

Oh man KJR is going to love this tank...that undy is AWESOME!!!
Cheers, he's quite a character. I just could no longer see it in the tiny tank it was in. Just found out the place that was feeding him mainly muscles did not order them in.....they came from tesco fish counter. Lol off to Tesco for me then to get yet another item for its diet.....I spoil them rotten! Lol

Dryvern, your Undy is a beauty...He has great coloration and it looks like personality as well...The one in my avatar shared a home with a Fimbriated Eel, wasn't mine but I looked after him while the guy was out of town, the two tolerated each other quite well...surprisingly.

If you have any experience fishkeeping, definately should go with an octopus. Those are pretty interesting. And not something most people do.

125 is way too small for an adult gurnard. They grow to like 18" long and way wider with their fins. Need more like a flat 300 gallon.
I second an octopus. An O. briareus or O. vulgaris would be ideal for that size of tank. Just fasten those lids down good! As long as you get a very small one it will be around for a year or more, grow pretty big, and unlike a fish, it can reach out and play with you.
