The meanest little fish I know of are damsels. They are very beautiful. Most are about 2 -3 inches when mature. They are not venomous but will bite you and draw blood.

I was gonna say, my female maroon clown was one of the meanest fish I've had. I couldn't even put my hand in the tank.

Ask Meowzer about Damsels, she refers to them as "devil fish" ... they're the meanest fish I've ever encountered.
Lionfish get a bad rep, they're not mean, just hungry..
Get a mantis. I want to put one in our 40G but my husband said we have to sell it or turn it into a QT!

She isn't alone...they are evil critters, that drink blood drawn from human hands. They are small, and strikingly beautiful. Meowzer may have some babies to give you...she has hundreds of devil spawn eggs.

Damsels are the some of the best fish in the world when housed correctly. They are some of the brightest active bulletproof fish we own in this hobby.

Interesting... I've never had a damsel, although the maroon clowns are in the same family. I might have to try some, maybe in my spare 30 gal.
