Is there anyone out there left with respect for animals? I am not against keeping pets, I have many many pets, but it is your job to give them the best life they can have and the most natural environment you can provide. With that said, it is not possible to keep one shark let alone two in your tank. When full grown it would almost take up the whole tank.
one got sick cant remeber why
Um, just a guess, but how about TOO SMALL OF A TANK. I have never heard of a nerf shark. If you meant nurse shark, you do know they grow to 14 feet or so right.

I think people really need to get a better understanding of these animals before deciding to keep one.

I'm OK with That...

So true gasguzzler. I wanted a shark in the worst way when I began saltwater. After all the research I decided I just couldn't provide for it right now. If people would just learn about sharks, it would make them respect them even more.

Thats the point Ive been trying to make on this board for the last two months! Thank you for researching the subject before you just jump in and hope for the best. There needs to be some more brain power like that around here lately.

It is very refreshing to see folks like gas and others using their heads when it comes to sharks. I am appalled at the lack of concern for these animals just so someone can have a shark to show off. I don't post as much because I felt like I was slamming my head into a wall everytime someone asks about jamming a shark into anything less than the proper size tank.
Bottom line is simply this: decide on the shark you want to keep and then determine what is needed to keep that shark for its ENTIRE life. If you can't provide this from the start don't get the damn shark. It is just that simple!!!

Maybe he did have Nerf sharks. He would have been only 6 years old back when he said he had them and Nerf makes everything else, so why not a squishy soft nerf shark. Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!! BTW, a Nerf shark is probably the only one I could keep anyway!!

Anyone know where I can get a whale shark or even a killer whale? I have a 5-gallon nano in my office just screaming for a more active fish!
