they are pulling on each others hair and using their nails...

If they are fighting and tangling up using nem weapons, then odds are they will wait until you are at work or otherwise away from the tank for an exentended period and then one will kill the other..........
This will happen 5 minutes after you leave so that the fresh kill will rot and skunk the tank killing EVERYTHING

This might be worst case scenario but nothing uglier than a good size anemone sitting in the tank for 6 hours after its dead.
Always safe to saparate them or return one to the LFS before you have a disaster.
