loopy yellow tang

I was just wondering if anyone else has a nutty tang a friend of mine brought a yelllow tang last weekend she`s a lovely fish infact really nice but we think she`s got dementia or a mental problem because every so often she sits dead still in the water her eyes go big and black and the other fish go and hide and all of a sudden she`ll go charging down the tank, and head butts her reflection in the glass we think she`s barmy she fights herself for a good 10 mins any fish that come in the vacinity, she has them as well including a 7'' Niger Trigger ive not seen this in marine before has anyone else ever come across this kind of barmy behaviour as were quite worried about her ? (6)

when i first got mine, it swam in circles, vertically around a live rock... but never did it headbutt it's own reflection...:notsure:

.......:thinking: ....."barmy"??? Must be british for "whacky".... anyway, my yellow Tang doesn't do that, but I've read other posts where their Tangs would get excited at its' reflection and get a little "barmy"(?). If I saw mine do that, I would probably say "Criiikey, the little fella has laust it's maund!!"....oh shoot, that's my Australian accent.

Mine pulls food out of the tenticles of the anemone. Once he got stung, I guess it was only mild because he swam to the other side of the tank and statrted twitching like he was having DT's, kinda in a "get it off of me, style". Then he was fine, but he keeps going near that anemone and keeps trying to steal his food! Maybe he's trying to get stung enough to "host", whaddaya think?? But he's pretty and that's all that counts.
