Like many others down here in South Louisiana, I am lucky to be living and healthy, but I did lose my 75 gal salt tank and everything in it... I was truly heartbroken, as you all know, we put alot of money time and effort into our tanks... I am single with no kids, so I treat that tank and its occupants as though they were my children... As of today (Thurs. night), I have been without power since Sunday and have been told that it could be next week before power is restored in our area... I am in Baton Rouge, and although we did not get the heav heavy rains, we did sustain MAJOR wind damage... We are now the epicenter of all rescue and evacuations and in a very short time, we have become the largest city in the boot state, and hve surpassed several other cities as out population as stated on the news is now close to 800,000 and with our suburbs, well over a million...
Problem is our city is not equipped to handle the strain and it is a mad house down here...A trip that may have taken you 10 minutes to make will now take 2 hours... That's how bad it is here now... What you are hearing and seeing on the news does not do this justice... WheW!!!! Needed to vent for a minute....
Now I have seen several funny looking works crawling around in the tank b4 I removed all of my dead fish and corals... Not exactly sure on the color as i was working with candlelight, but they were flat, pinkish with many legs.... Does anyone have an idea what they were, and what should i do b4fore I recycle the tank, if my power ever comes back?
Thanks for any help and please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers....
