Well my Kole Tang died during the night. He was acting weird since Sunday and was looking skinny the last few weeks, even though he grazed and ate frozen foods. He was lately hiding in rock with small holes or caves. It was weird and yesterday I noticed he was squeezed in one of the rocks and just breathing and not swimming in the hole. I think while he was hiding and relaxing in this whole one of the crabs probably an emerald got ahold of the tang and ate him. The tang appeared weak. It was sad to find him as food for the hermits.
I also think he was acting weird because the power went out the other day and reset the ac thermostat. It was real hot when I got home and I think the temperature fluctuation affected the tang, the most.
I really like these fish and I think I will attempt another bristle tooth family tang after next water change. I had this one for nearly 3 months and he appeared happy until the power outage. He may have also had something inside him since he was always so skinny.
