I thought they did a great job explaining the characters in the first hour's pre-premier show.
The time travelling crud in the premier though got stupid, and i fell asleep 1:15 hrs into it. luckily i dvr'ed it.

I hear ya! Too many twists and turns now. They need to start answering questions already and not create new ones!

I already don't know what the heck is going on... Wouldn't be the first time.

Read some Einstein. It will make more sense. I kinda realized this was a science fiction show when the smoke monster appeared in the first episode.

I thought the opposite... I thought they gave away too much information. The last 5 seasons have been like "what the hell just happened???" or "What the hell is going to happen?" I left each episode feeling less and less in the know, and I kinda liked that.
NOW the question is "HOW the hell are they going to get back to the island"... because that's pretty much all they need to do now. There's no more intrigue. Just a goal that needs to be met, and Ben has 70 hours to do it. That's it, I just ruined the whole season for everyone. Kinda lame plot though, honestly.

Yeah like why is the fat guy still fat on a deserted island!
hehe
1) they found tons of food and kept on having food dropped to them. he was found once sucking down some ranch dressing all by itself
2) he's off the island :p

I think they have to wrap up the whole series in 2 more seasons. The first 4 seasons took place over 108 days so I guess they can stretch the 70 hours part out for at least half this season or more...

4-toed! And yeah! I'd like to know what's up with the ancient architecture that we see here and there. Makes me think "Atlantis"... but who knows.
If Ben "stole" the island from Whitmore, as Whitmore said, and Whitmore was interested in obtaining the diary from the Black Rock... what's the relation there? Is Whitmore from the island? Can't find his way back? Or was he just a major contributor to funding the Dharma Initiative?
And where did Richard come from? Was he on the Black Rock? We know he doesn't appear to age, and he knows more about the island than even Ben.

That's what I've been wondering too. Not only where did he come from, but who is he? He seems to have some interesting qualities that no one else on the island has...

which is richard, the guy that looks like he's wearing mascara?
he had visited locke when he was a kid too don't forget (if it is that guy). he's one of the "others". don't forget ben came to the island when he was a kid, so maybe richard does know more.
