I am posting these pics for some friends to see, but anyone else is free to browse. I had a running thread here, but am unable to find it! This is my 14gal BioCube. In total, it is >1 yr old. I have had it for about 5 months or so. Setup:
Hardware:
14 gal BioCube
Replaced BioBalls w/ LiveRock rubble
Overflow filters through bio-sponge & homemade activated carbon "stocking"
Stock powerhead with an extra Rio50 for added flow
Water, NaCl, & Supplements:
Strictly R/O from LFS (getting R/O system for XMas!!)
Tropic Marin Salt
Purple Up (one TSP every 2 weeks)
Iodine (for the xenia)
Parameters:
Temp: 78-82
PH: 8.6
Spec Grav - 1.025
Calc: 400ppm
Alk: 10
Amm/Trites: 0
Nitrates: <5
Phosphates: 0
"The Crew":
>1 yr old Elegance Coral (6" skeleton)
1" pulsing xenia
5" finger coral (sinularia), live rock base encrusted with green acan
Maroon/Green zooanthid colony (about 80 polyps)
One tiny purple shroom attached to tongan branch
1 false perc
1 2" baby engineer goby (lives under the elegance)
1 Coral Banded Shrimp
1 Emerald Crab
Rougly 12 hermits (blue + red)
One nassarius snails + @ 12 turbos
Water changes = 2 gallons every other week
Substrate = Aragonite "live sand"
Food: Tigger Pods, Frozen Mysis, Formula 1, phytoplankton
