Love spring time!!

Here are a few pics of my son feeding the koi. Spring time again and they are hungry. Last year the pond was opened up to bigger and better for them and would not feed from our hands. Now they have about 4000 gal to swin in. The babies you see around are from last years spawn. This year is the first time ever eating out of hands it is way cool. It feels like nursing puppies, they have very soft rubber feeling mouths.They will suck the food right up. Sometimes will suck on your fingers.
Any way thought I would share my excitment.

They just rest at the bottom I do nothing they winter just fine.
here are a few shots some old when first done then later in the year at the waterfall plants grown and covering as they should. i am trying to find my night shots they are awsome. Soon as I find them I will post them.

One of the hospitals here has a Japanese garden with a koi pond. It's really cool -- I always arrive early for my appointments so I get to watch the koi for awhile. They follow you around like puppies waiting for a treat.
