Low Flow SPS?

I agree on the montis, they seem less demanding than the acros and such as far as flow, but I still have mine in the highest flow area of my tank. What are you defining as "low" flow?

Biggest death to montis IMO is detritus settling on it and killing tissue. Keep your return pointed at it and I think you should be ok, but my monti hates direct flow.

Yea I started playing WoW again, not good hahah. I would go for a monti for sure, maybe a digitata if you want the acropora look, without as high of standards.

I think pocilliporas do not need as much flow as most other SPS.
The cool thing about poci's are that they can spawn. Theyre a nice different texture from the monti/acro look. I believe some will spawn and actually can grow new colonies in the tank. Thats what we all need, corals that return its cost!!

Poccis are deceptively fast growers too. Mine started as a very small (1.5") colony with multiple heads. I never thought it was growing, as it was semi shaded. Well it has nicely grown into almost 4" with lots of heads and its under direct light and just seems to keep growing. Im going to have to move it to a more prominent location
