Low light corals

Hi, all. I'm going to be setting up a 55-gallon tank for my vet and I have a couple of questions that will probably span a few threads. My first is on low-light corals. I know that mushrooms and polyps are low-light corals, but what are some others (if any)? Also, define low light. In a 55-gallon would low light be 1 or 2 NOs, or more like a PC or two? Thanks for the help. Lance.

I agree with the Leathers, very hardy and do well under low light conditions. I would also suggest green star polyps, and xenia both of which are thriving in my 42 gallon hex. However i think you need at least a couple of PCs to succeed, ditch the NOs :D With the PCs you can place leathers and star polyps at the bottom of the tank. Mushrooms actually do better in the shade or at angles to the lights. There are many variations of leather which are quite striking such as the umbrella leather mentioned above, and my personal favorite the hairy finger leather. Good luck whatever you decide.
