Lowered hypo and still getting worse

I lowered my salinity to 1.009 and my ick is getting worse. Does this mean that they are coming out of the fish or what. Please HELP!!!!

It will take a little time before all of the signs of ich will disappear. You should notice in a few more days that there should be no signs of ich left. I know you used a refracto meter so the salinity should be right, but it will take a few days for the sympotms to disappear.

I should also add that you need to make sure you keep the water toped off. As your water evaporates the salinity will rise. You should top off every morning, and again in the evening.

What are you using to measure salinity?

I wouldn't just top off. Each aquarium is different in terms of evaporation. Use the refract to measure salinity daily.
