I had my SG at 1.014 until I was informed that that level is useless. (thank you, again) Just finished lowering it to 1.010 this morning. My coral beauty is fine, and the percs. are still their cute carefree-selves
The reason I am doing this is only for the powder blue. I have had him for 2 weeks and every day (it seems) is something new with this fish. One day his fin has a fuzzy spot. garlic, gone. Next day spot on his side, but looks more like a fluk, garlic, gone.
But now he has a patch right by his gills, and he is never still for long enough to see if it is flukes or ick. It is VERY local, no spot anywhere else. And is now rubbing the bottom, occasionally.
Here my question, any of you watched you fish do a tail stand in the corner, breath fairly fast, and change color???
His color went sooooo deep his body was a rich blue his white fin was grey........and his entire face was BLACK, his eyes even turned black , this lasted for 10 seconds, then he swam around looking for more food and went back to the corner about 4 more times.
I finally went to bed, thinking I have done all that I can for this fish, if he's going to die I have done my best. This morning he's swimming around eating well, did 1 tail stand but no color change and rubbed the bottom twice.
What the h3ll was the color change?! I have never seen this or read about this. how long will it take for hyp treament to work?
