Lowering SG

My specific gravity is a tad high, just wondering how to get it lower.
Im using a deep 6 hydrometer
Measured after i mixed in all the salt, and was right at 1.021
And now after adding a little over 100lb's of LR, its right at around 1.028
Any ideas? Ive tested like 6 times to make sure its right

take out some of the water in the tank and replace it with fresh water just be sure to do it slowly.

i had the same problem. You dont want to lower it from 1.028 to something like 1.025 all at once. What i did a water change every couple days and would mix my salt to a step lower everytime for example first change i did 1.027 then the next i mixed my new water to 1.026 and so on until i got down to 1.025. It worked and seemed to have no effect on any of my fish.
