I have a galaxia coral that had a couple pieces break off about 6 months ago. A rock fell on it or something. I can't remember. Anyway. Those little pieces have their polyps extend every day, even laying in the sand. My LFS had a couple of pieces break off similiarly and told me I could have them if I wanted. Not sure what kind of coral. I haven't been able to identify it.
Will those pieces continue to live and could they multiply?
I was thinking of drilling a few holes in some LR and just placing the pieces in the rock and see what happens.
Any advice or thoughts?

They had their galaxia break? I would think that so long as their is even one healthy polyp it will one day split and split again. I haven't seen to many galaxia but dont' they grow a calcerous shell? If so then you could just get some super glue gel and glue it to your favorite rock. You could also glue the piece back together into one piece...
