LPS vs SPS

I have a 55 gal with this lighting... Is it safe to say that I can only host SPS and not LPS? Or are there exceptions to this?

I think you have it switched around. You could possibly keep LPS under those lights, but i doubt any SPS would be happy.

LPS will do fine. Some of the less demanding SPS may be OK if positioned high, but I doubt you'll get much color or growth. Acros are definitely out. In any event I wouldn't consider any SPS until you've maintained a stable aquarium for a while...
