For biological filtration in the tank, does it all have to be LR? From what I understand you could also use LS because it has the same bacteria? For example, in a 90G tank, could you use 45lbs LR and 45lbs LR?

no it does not have to be live rock in fact you do not need any live rock to sustain a marine tank
