LR & Lighting?

What kind of lighting is required to have healthy LR? I have only one 40W UV light on my tank & I've been told tow things.
That this is plenty of light to keep healthy LR &&& that the live rock will slowly die and become expensive decoration in my tank.
Also what kind of additives should I use to keep LR healthy?

LR doesn't die .......
And, as for lighting goes, I think that if you have more lighting, the coraline grows better. I could be wrong though? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> I know my lfs tried to tell me that LR needs lighting such as metal halahide, and that's not true.

LR does not need light to live. In fact the purple coraline algae grows best with no light at all.
